The ethos of The Total Fly Fishing Company
is to provide clients with outstanding value for money,
providing the highest possible standards of professional
casting tuition/guided fishing in a fun and totally stress
free environment.
In addition to casting instruction, the Company
arranges river & saltwater fly fishing in the UK, Norway,
Iceland, New Zealand & Cuba.

David Griffiths
Managing Director
David has fished for all game fish since he was
a very young boy, catching his first trout on the River
Wye at Builth Wells (on the fly!) aged 5. He has a wealth
of fly fishing experience in all parts of the world. He
was fortunate enough to be taught to nymph fish by the legendary
Frank Sawyer. Notably, David has undertaken casting demonstrations
at various national and international fly fishing fairs
in the UK, USA, Europe and in Japan. He is an APGAI &
STANIC qualified instructor in the salmon, trout & sea
trout disciplines.

James Mills
Technical Director
James is also an APGAI and STANIC
qualified fly fishing instructor. He acquired a wealth of
international experience as an instructor before establishing
The Total Fly Fishing Company with David. He is
a consummate caster in both salmon and trout fields cutting
away all of the spurious mystique surrounding fly fishing:
casting in particular. He is intent upon making the learning
process enjoyable and fun - he measures success by hooking
people to fly fishing for life.

John Hotchkiss
Marketing Director
John is a GAIA Level 2 instructor. He started
life as an actor before running a successful London PR &
Marketing company. Recently he produced the highly acclaimed
TV fishing series "The Take" which was transmitted
here on Sky Sports and internationally. John has been an
avid fly fisher all his life and has fished throughout the
world. His many trips have taken him to New Zealand and
South Africa for trout, and to Iceland, Norway and Russia,
and many rivers in Scotland and Ireland for salmon. More
remote trips have seen John casting for steelhead on the
mighty rivers of British Columbia to dry fly fishing for
sea-run char in Greenland!
His all time favourite fly fishing is sight fishing for
the wily wild brown trout of New Zealand's South Island
and for salmon, riffle hitching on the gin clear rivers
of Iceland.
